Like regular flip flops, only better

I LOVE FLIP FLOPS.

Seriously. It's a problem. An addiction, really. I wear flip-flops pretty much all year round. I only go for the boots when it gets below 40. What can I say? My toes like to wiggle.
I have waaaaay too many flip-flops. At least that's what my husband says. I don't think there's really such a thing as too many flip flops. I even have flops with pictures of flops on them.

Yes, it's that bad.

But my favorites are the ones from Old Navy. So many colors!

Is it bad that my anal retentive side wants to straighten all the flip-flops so the photo is more symmetrical and visually pleasing?

And at 2 for $5 they are just too hard to resist! I have a veritable rainbow of flops in my closet. I especially love that Old Navy carries different shades of the same hue. I, for instance, have four (or five . . . ok, six)pairs of green flip-flops, each in a different shade. I also have a slight addiction to green objects. And orange. I have a lot of orange too.

So when I saw this tutorial at Alisa Burke's blog I had to try it! I had some scraps left over from all my Mother's Day projects that I thought would be perfect. And . . .

I would show you a picture of the flops with feet in them, but I am in dire need of a pedicure.

A close-up, so you can see how pretty pretty pretty they are.

I love them! I'm so pleased with the results. Now I want to do this to all my flops, but I'm trying to restrain myself.

You should try it. It's a very easy, very quick project that yields adorable results.

Go try it!

  1. I like the flops. And the sewing. I am currently trying to teach myself how to crochet. It's not going well. So I believe I will not be selling anything on Etsy. But good luck to you!!
